FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS FOR THE DOMESTIC CUSTOMER
DO YOU MOUNT PET DOGS OR CATS?
On occasion we preserve pet dogs and cats.
The loss of a companion pet is always an emotional time for any individual or family and often the first thoughts by those concerned, are to try and hold onto the memories of that pet by having the loved one preserved.
Each pet is uniquely individual, as is the mount, with each animal being cast, molded and hand sculpted.
While attention to detail is employed in all our work, additional attention to detail is paid to pet mounts.
* Please note, that in some cases, the presence of a preserved pet can sometimes hinder in the healing process of having lost that pet.

I FOUND A DEAD BIRD CAN I HAVE IT MOUNTED?
That will depend upon whether the species is a native of Australia, or an introduced species. It will also depend on which state you live in.
lf it is a native species, you may require a permit from your State or Territorial Wildlife Authority before it can be mounted. Check with your local Wildlife Department office. If it is an introduced species to Australia, you will not require any permit.
SHOULD I PUT MY SPECIMEN IN THE DEEP FREEZE?
That will depend on whether you intend to visit a taxidermist immediately, or whether you intend to arrange an appointment in the next few days.
If you intend to visit a taxidermist immediately, there should be no need to freeze the specimen. Just try to pack the specimen into a cooler for the duration of the trip. If you intend to leave the visit until a more convenient time to you and the operator, it is best to put the specimen inside a plastic bag and have it deep frozen.
lf the specimen is a game head or mammal that is too large for a regular household deep freezer, you may have to skin or cape the trophy.
CAN I PURCHASE NATIVE AUSTRALIAN WILDLIFE MOUNTS?
Before you can purchase any native Australian Wildlife Specimens, it is advised that you check with your State or Territorial Wildlife Authorities.
Australian Federal Wildlife Laws prohibit the export from Australia of mounted native wildlife for private purposes.
However under certain circumstances, we are able to export to recognised scientific or educational institutions.
